What Happens During Pickup and Delivery

By Auto Rocket · January 18, 2026

Knowing what happens at pickup and delivery takes the mystery out of vehicle transport. Here’s the whole flow.

Before pickup

We coordinate a pickup window with you in advance — transport shouldn’t feel last-minute. As the day approaches, we confirm timing. Most vehicles are picked up within about 1–5 business days of the first available date, though windows are estimates until confirmed.

At pickup

  • You or another adult (18+) meets the driver.
  • Together you do a walkaround inspection, noting existing condition — scratches, dents, chips.
  • Both parties sign the Bill of Lading (BOL), which records that condition.
  • You hand over the keys.

A large car hauler can’t always reach every street — low branches, tight turns, weight limits. If the truck can’t safely reach your exact address, the driver arranges a nearby safe meeting spot. We get as close as is safe and legal.

In transit

Your vehicle travels our Northwest ⇄ Texas corridor. You can request an update anytime.

At delivery

  • You meet the driver at the agreed location.
  • Inspect the vehicle against the pickup BOL. Note any new damage before signing.
  • Sign the delivery BOL.
  • Pay the remaining balance — cash, Zelle, or Cash App.

That signed BOL is your official record of the vehicle’s condition at both ends. How inspections and BOLs work in detail →
