How Does Vehicle Pickup Work?

What customers should expect during vehicle pickup, including access planning, condition inspection, keys and the Bill of Lading.

Vehicle pickup is a coordinated handoff, not just a truck arriving and leaving. The driver confirms an accessible meeting point, checks the vehicle, documents its condition and loads it according to the transport plan.

Before the driver arrives

Make sure the vehicle is accessible, keys are available and the pickup contact can meet the driver. If the exact address is not suitable for the hauler, use the nearby meeting point provided by the driver.

Condition inspection

The vehicle is inspected before transport. Existing visible condition should be documented on the Bill of Lading so pickup and delivery have a clear reference point.

Loading order matters

On a multi-vehicle hauler, one customer’s vehicle is part of a larger load. Weight, vehicle size and planned delivery sequence affect where vehicles are positioned.
